Now that you’ve invested in your hair, let’s keep it looking perfect. It is important to follow these basic home after care instructions to keep your hair looking and feeling great so that you get the value out of your investment and can re-use your extensions. These important steps will limit shedding and extension loss and will most notably ensure that your hair stays healthy and damage free.

Maintenance
Brushing:

The Wet Brush (or any knockoff) for brushing through the bonds and when hair is wet. All other brushes should be avoided for brushing through the bonds (scalp areas). You may use any brush you prefer on the lengths of the hair.

Always Brush hair before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning.
Brush the ends (length) of the hair first and gently work your way up the scalp.
Round Brushes are fine to use below the bonds.

Washing:
​
As a general rule, the fewer times you wash, the longer the nano link extensions will last you. 1-2 washes a week is optimal. Dry shampoo is recommended to keep oil under control.

Shampoo- no creamy, moisturizing or oil based shampoos. Translucent or clear shampoos are best, normal and colour treated are fine. Moisture in your shampoo can cause the bond to break down leading to shedding or the bond breaking.

Conditioner- Any conditioner is safe for the extensions. Please avoid applying conditioner directly onto bond and scalp area as this can deteriorate the bond and lead to shedding.

Styling:
​
You can style using any hot tools your desire. Please ensure that if letting your hair and extensions naturally dry, you dry your scalp with a blow dryer within 1-2 hours of washing to avoid bond deterioration.

Sleeping:
​
Please tie your hair back while sleeping. This will prevent unnecessary tangling or matting in your own hair. Never sleep in wet hair as this can lead to matting above the bond.
